Did you save me, Lord?
When the dog attacked,
Tearing flesh from flesh,
Spilling blood from veins,
And tears from eyes...
You sent a neighbour,
To fight off the beast,
To save a life.
But, did you save me Lord?
When the beast of burden,
Startled from docility,
Moved with sudden violence,
And broke a body...
You sent a Son,
To fight off the Beast,
To save a soul.
But, did you save me Lord?
When the beasts attack,
Clenching talons of fear,
Baring poison-tipped fangs,
To shred hope...
You send Your Spirit,
To fight off the Beast,
To save my soul.
Did you save me, Lord?
You do.

That's the third day in a row that you've given me goosebumps, woman. You've got to stop doing that ;)
